D. Bruhwiler: Description of the friction force and degree of uncertainty with and without wigglers,

A. Shemyakin: Comparison between theory and experimental measurements of the FNAL cooler.

Discussion: What additional experimental measurements are needed? What additional simulation studies are needed?

A. Sidorin: How good is our understanding of luminosity prediction based on non-Gaussian distribution and recombination?

I. Kaganovich: Theory of recombination and experimental results.

Discussion: What improvements in our models are needed? Do we need wiggler to suppress recombination?

Photoinjector Working Group details

Discussion:

Cooling Working Group details

A. Jain: Helical undulator design.

Discussion: 1. What are requirements on wiggler parameters? 2. What are requirements on wiggler errors? 3. Do we need additional focusing in cooling section?

G. Bell: Friction force with errors

P. Cameron: Diagnostic and beam alignment.

Discussion:  What are requirements on beam alignment and diagnostic accuracy?  What instrumentation will be needed?

Photoinjector Working Group details

Mike Cole: The ½ cell superconducting gun design and status

Ram Calaga: HOM, multipactoring and coupling in the ½ cell gun

Jacek Sekutowicz: What field performance can we expect from the gun.

Discussion:

What are the open problems to realizing SRF guns of high-current? What performance can we expect from the gun?

A. Burov: Stability issues at the FNAL cooler

G. Wang: Stability thresholds

Discussion:  1. How accurate are our estimates of stability thresholds? 2. What else need to be done? 3. Develop R&D plan.

Other items:

1. Discussions of various effects within electron beam (relaxation, CSR, etc.) and effects on electron beam due to interaction with ions beam.

2. Can we use one ERL for two RHIC rings?

3. Other topics which come up during the meeting.

Gun-solenoid-linac spacing: Is there an optimal distance? Chromatic compensation.
