RHIC Startup:

Blue PS hysteresis ramps completed successfully.  A couple of PS (correctors and sextupole) did not ramp, but this will not delay beam development work.  They were left off to be fixed another day.

Yellow quench link makes Blue abort kicker fire (expected) but also pulls the Blue Permit (unexpected).

Doing Yellow polarity checks.  Should get Yellow to injection by lunch Saturday.  Do high cureent Shutoff tests and finish testing Yellow at high field Saturday evening, then do Yellow hysteresis ramp.  Inject into Yellow Sunday (or Saturday night).

BBQ and WCM need to be timed in.

Work on A5 to narrow the pulse.  Work completed, but the A5 kicker pulse has a bad undershoot.  Now injection shows all 8 deuteron pulses being transferred.  However, the F3 kicker showed problems, intermittent connections.  Work on A5 took less time than anticipated, which was good because the F3 kicker in the Booster started misbehaving and the Booster had to be LOTOed to allow the F3 to be repaired.  That work went well eventually.  Cooling tower 6 and the fan causing trips of the AtR due to overheating.  Todd got the WCM working, and the deuteron beam current calibrated.

STAR Iris scanner should be operational today.  PHENIX hardware going in today, but will not be operational until end of next week.  Until then, PHENIX needs to call MCR to get key.  Flammable gas testing underway.  SAhould be finished today.
