RHIC Startup:

Yellow PS up and running at slow factor 3 up and down.  Fast ramps induce voltage spikes that are interpreted as quenches because the busses go through the rotator together (but not through the same slot).  Need to slow down the tail end of the ramp, from 4A/s to 2A/s.  So most of the ramp can run at slow factor 1 except the end which runs at slow factor 2.  This will make the yellow ramp ~1 minute longer.  SteveT will reprogram the ramp.

Vadim working on Blue ramp.  RF loops are good.  Nikolai reports that the new Blue ramp is very sensitive to the tune.  This is different from the last run when Blue was much less sensitive to tune.  Attempt to copy the ramp from the last run and see if a new ramp can be developed.  The Yellow ramp is not sensitive this year..  Trouble correcting Yellow orbit.  Combined WFG manager, running as MCR.  At every ramp in Yellow, a couple of Gamma_T quads trip off.  And the Yellow ramp down trips of the abort kickers.

There is a bad connector on a Yellow PS ground.  It gives a fake current reading.  It will be replaced on Tuesday.

Blue is ready to do BBQ set-up.  Yellow is not yet ready for BBQ set-up.

Blue tune feedback work today, until SteveT can reprogram the Yellow ramp.  Don will jump the Gamma_T quads to see if he can fix the tripping.

The two WFG managers will be split so Don can work on the Gamma_T quads, and Blue ramp feedback work can proceed.  The WFGs can be joined again by going to the StartUp and killing the two individual WFGs and starting up the joined.
