Subject: AGS Au31+ experiments

Mike,

we are preparing an experiment in the AGS with Au31+ beam.
This is in collaboration with GSI and investigates dynamic
pressure with charge exchange processes. Currently the
AGS vacuum instrumentation is being upgraded, and this
work will finish 18 January 2008.

For the experiment we need the BtA and AGS for 2-3 days
behind RHIC stores (at normal availability), during which
time no polarized proton setup would be possible. d-Au
operation should not be affected.

Can we do these experiments in the week January 21-25,
beginning on Monday?
