APEX Schedule completed. APEX ends with something similar to a real Physics Store.
PHENIX will fix Pad Chamber detector electronics and reversing the magnetic field. Charlie is on it. PHENIX wants more luminosity and lower backgrounds. We should be doing a vernier scan once a week. That will be added to the operations plan, first store on Thursday. Tonight we will do a 3-step vernier scan to allow PHENIX to determine whether or not their central detector backgrounds (PC) background rates are collision related or not.
There are new 50 - and 40-ton air conditioners at 4B o'clock and 12 o'clock. These could be the source of the vertical emittance blow-up observed over the weekend. The LF Shottky shows peaks in the vertical only. So these AC units will be turned ON and OFF in communication with MCR to see if they are the cause of the problem
STAR needs an extra watch present at the beginning of the access (8:00AM) to lock out the STAR magnet. STAR needs to fix a water leak in the ToF.
