Scheduling Meeting Minutes: 26 Feb 2008

Attending: Mike Leitch, Wolfram Fischer, Paul Sampson, Bill Christie, Fulvia Pilat, Kip Gardner, Wlodek Guryn,  Anatoli Zelenski, Phil Pile, Nick Franco, Christoph Montag, Mike Sivertz (recording)

Bill: 30nb^-1 per hour during stores.  Saturday we ran for 17-18 hours per day,    380nb^-1 per day.  Efficiency factor of slightly less than 0.5 (0.38).  Delivered was 900nb^-1 per day.  5.9pb^-1 expected before 8:00AM on 10 March.  This is two thirds of the previous goal of 9pb^-1 for this run.

IP Feedback and non-linear chromaticity correction.

Orbit correction at the store every half hour, and at the beginning of the store.

Reverting the AGS to Run06 conditions.  Stop trying Injection on the fly.

We are currently running at two thirds of the performance that we saw on the best day in Run06.  We should be significantly higher.

Peggy Harvey and Keith are working on reverting the Injectors to the Run06 configuration.

Beta* squeeze will be studied at APEX Tuesday night, with the nonlinear chromaticity afterwards.

Maintenance Day: Source refurbishing 6 hours.  AGS Polarimeter 8 hours.  PHENIX Muon Trigger development 8 hours.  JET.  PP2PP Lattice test 4 hours.

Plan is to run APEX as scheduled from 8:00PM Tuesday to 8:00AM Wednesday followed immediately by Maintenance.  The expected Maintenance will be 8 hours determined by PHENIX work to install a development MuID trigger board.  STAR expects to use a 4 hour access.  There will be an access to AGS for replacing the Polarimeter targets.  The polarized proton source needs to be refurbished.  This can be accomplished behind a store.  APEX will focus on beta squeeze, followed by nonlinear chromaticity correction.
